Sectional Flighting - Direction of screw rotation and material travel

Single Flight Standard Pitch

Flights that are spaced at the same distance as the outside diameter measurement of the flight.

Single Flight Half Pitch

Half pitched flights, are flights spaced at half of the outside diameter measurement of the flight.

Double flight Standard Pitch

2 flights that oppose each other by 180 degrees, the standard pitch is equal to the outside diameter of the flight.

Single flight Variable Pitch

Where the space between flights varies, the outside diameter of the flight remains the same.

Single flight Short Pitch

Where the space between flights is smaller than the outside diameter of the flight.

Coned flight

Internal tapered flighting with a consistent outside diameter.

Legged Ribbon Flight

Used for mixing applications to prevent material build up, with the “legs” spacing the flight from the pipe/shaft.

Centreless Flight

Consists of welded sectional flighting without a centre shaft, used for gummy products.
